    Terms of Use and Copyright

These terms govern access to and use of the RiskCalcs process safety and quantitative risk calculation toolkit at riskcalcs.com, including all calculators, technical background documents, chemical and material data, and the Gabriel technical assistant.

    1. Ownership

The toolkit — its source code, user interface, module structure, technical background documents, curated chemical and material data, worked examples and assistant knowledge base — is the original work of RiskCalcs and is protected by copyright. © 2026 RiskCalcs. All rights reserved. Published methods and correlations drawn from the open literature remain the property of their respective authors and publishers; the implementation, curation, documentation and assembly of those methods into this platform are proprietary.

    2. Permitted use

    • You may use the calculators for professional and educational engineering work, including commercial projects.
    • You may cite results and reference the platform in reports, studies and teaching material.
    • You may share links to the site and to individual calculator pages freely.

    3. Prohibited use

Without prior written permission you may not:

    • Copy, download in bulk, mirror, redistribute or re-host the toolkit or any substantial part of it.
    • Create a derivative or competing product from its code, data, documents or interface.
    • Remove, alter or obscure copyright, attribution or provenance notices.
    • Embed the toolkit in another site or application by framing, or otherwise present it as your own work.
    • Use automated scrapers, crawlers or scripts to extract the application, its data or its documents.
    • Attempt to circumvent access controls, rate limits or authentication.

    4. Engineering disclaimer

The toolkit provides screening-level and engineering-level estimates based on published correlations and documented assumptions. Results depend entirely on the inputs and assumptions chosen by the user. They are decision support, not a substitute for competent engineering judgement, site-specific assessment, or the applicable codes and standards. All outputs must be reviewed and approved by a qualified engineer before being used in design, operations or safety decisions. The platform is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, and RiskCalcs accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from its use.

    5. Availability and changes

The platform is under continuous development. Modules, methods, data and these terms may change without notice. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

    6. Contact

For licensing, internal deployment, or permission to reuse any part of the platform, get in touch through the feedback form in the toolkit.
